Georgia’s Gold Standard: Leading the Way in Aerospace Engineering

Georgia is currently following the Level 3 Aeronautical Engineering framework while working at Aerfin Ltd. Having just completed the first year of her two-year apprenticeship program, she has already proven herself to be an exceptional talent, bringing enthusiasm and a commitment to excellence to everything she does.

Georgia’s impressive achievements have led to a unique opportunity—she started an Aerospace degree in September this year, which will enable her to become a powerplant engineer once she qualifies. This is a remarkable opportunity, as it's the first time Aerfin has offered this pathway, and it is not available in other aerospace apprenticeships in the area.

Achieving her B1 license at such a young age will be a milestone accomplishment for Georgia and is a true testament to the confidence that the business has in her abilities. Highlighting Georgia's potential will also reinforce Aerfin's reputation as a leading employer in the aerospace industry, attracting more talent to the local economy.”

In addition to her academic and professional achievements, Georgia, alongside fellow apprentice Ellis, recently took part in the Wales Inspiring Skills Manufacturing Team Challenge. Despite being the only team of two, compared to other teams of three, Georgia led them to victory, winning Gold and proving they are the best in Wales.  Accolades such as this bring a sense of pride to the employer and highlight the high level of skill and dedication present in the local workforce.
