Celebrating 15 Years of Success: A Message from Nicola Thornton-Scott

This year’s #SAWAwards2024 was a truly special occasion as it marked a major milestone—15 years of Skills Academy Wales. Reflecting on this journey, Assistant Principal Nicola Thornton-Scott shared her thoughts on the evening, the achievements of our learners, and the future of apprenticeships in Wales.

In her address, Nicola highlighted the incredible progress made since the partnership was established. Over the past 15 years, Skills Academy Wales has supported thousands of learners, employers, and practitioners, helping them achieve their goals and contributing to the growth of the Welsh economy.

The evening showcased the achievements of learners who have excelled in their fields, employers who have demonstrated unwavering support for apprenticeships, and practitioners who have gone above and beyond to inspire and guide others.

Nicola also took the opportunity to thank the partners, sub-contractors and stakeholders who have played a crucial role in the success of Skills Academy Wales over the years.
